Photos show everything. Not sure the age, definitely old. I am guessing early 1900s, but I don't know the exact age. You can see how incredibly beautiful the back plates are.  The knobs are brass color, one shows surface rust / patina.  And the mortise is clean, the latch works fine. I do not know how well the lock works, as I do not have a skeleton key for this set, so I cannot guarantee that the lock works.  I assume that it does.  I am also assuming that this set is steel, as a magnet attracts to all parts.
