This beautiful Amethyst cameo is unused stock from a 1910 Paris workshop.
I have a matching right facing amethyst glass cameo ring also listed.
I presently have 30+ unused 1910 glass cameo Paris workshop cameos. They are beautiful, rare & great. This heavy thick Amethyst glass with shiny hair bow & band, matte face & curls . To find them see click on top right " See other items".   Classic example of early 1900s traditional French Pate de verre, the artist mixed crushed glass with enamels or paint to form a paste that was carefully placed in a mold, Displaying belle époque opulence. Per Wikipedia " Glass casting is the process in which glass objects are cast by directing molten glass into a mold where it solidifies. The technique has been used since the Egyptian period. Modern cast glass is formed by a variety of processes such as kiln casting, or casting into sand, graphite or metal molds. Pate de verre gained renown as an art form by French artists Émile Gallé, Antonin Daum and Réné Lalique. The final result is a piece of sculpture that has a surface with a texture that is similar to fine sugar." .
I have permanently glued this beautiful large amethyst glass cameo to a beautiful rectangular banded brown lilac & white polished rectangular stone. Then added a dangling opal glass navette. The matching 22" colorful sea opal chip necklace to hang this lovely necklace including extender is included no charge.
, All are in unused mint condition over 100 years old (except relatively new neck chain.)
